About us
The Faculty of Pain Medicine, part of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (ANZCA) is an internationally recognised specialist medical education institution responsible for the training, examinations, specialist qualification, and continuing professional development of all anaesthetists and pain medicine specialists in Australia and New Zealand.
Formed in 1998, the Faculty of Pain Medicine was the world’s first multidisciplinary medical academy devoted to education and training in pain medicine. Our vision is to reduce the burden of pain in society through education, advocacy, training, and research.
About the opportunity
In this dynamic and varied role, you’ll help raise the profile and influence of the faculty by crafting and coordinating meaningful communications, strengthening engagement with fellows, trainees, and external stakeholders, and supporting a range of strategic initiatives and events. From drafting news updates and social media posts to helping deliver high-profile advocacy campaigns and coordinating award programs, you’ll be central to telling the FPM story and celebrating the impact of our specialist pain medicine community.
Working closely with the Manager, Strategic Initiatives, you'll also provide support to key committees, particularly the Research Committee, lead the delivery of our newsletters, and help manage key touchpoints like the FPM LinkedIn page and website. You’ll be part of a passionate, close-knit team that values initiative and collaboration. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to deepen their impact and grow in a role that offers both creative and strategic scope.
