The Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (ANZCA) incorporating the Faculty of Pain Medicine, is an internationally recognised specialist medical education institution responsible for the training, examinations, specialist qualification, and continuing professional development of all anaesthetists and pain medicine specialists in Australia and New Zealand. 
 
The college's purpose is to serve our communities by leading high quality patient care in anaesthesia, perioperative and pain medicine, optimizing health and reducing the burden of pain. 
 
About the opportunity: 

The primary role of the Application Support Analyst is to provide technical and functional support for business applications, ensuring their availability, performance, and alignment with business processes. This position reports to the Database Administrator.

The Application Support Analyst will;
•    Prepare and/or review technical documentation, considering architectural and programmatic
•    aspects of the solution.
•    Follow ANZCA processes, and industry standards for development and code management.
•    Communicate and engage with stakeholders across IT services and the business.
•    Liaise with vendors, partners, and third-party service providers for delivery and support.
•    Ensure best practice security controls for ANZCA systems.
•    Ensure the effective design, implementation, and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines to support reliable and efficient software delivery. 
•    Provide Application and Service Desk support. 

The role will be predominantly based at ANZCA House on St Kilda Road, Melbourne. Hybrid, flexible working options are available. This role would involve on-call support, or out-of-hours work to ensure the successful delivery of support services.

You will specifically bring;

Essential:
•    Tertiary qualification in computing or the equivalent level of industry experience.
•    Experience in supporting and managing a diverse portfolio of business applications including cloud-based within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
•    Strong customer service focus.
•    Team player with the ability to work effectively and collaboratively.
•    Strong prioritisation and time-management skills, including the ability to work effectively under pressure, juggling conflicting priorities, and delivering to tight timeframes.
•    Strong critical thinking and analytical skills with the ability to drive process improvements.
•    Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to prepare concise reports.
•    Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and best practices, such as authentication, authorization, encryption, and security protocols.
•    Proficiency in writing and executing SQL queries for troubleshooting and reporting. 
•    Experience in Microsoft Power Platform – Power Apps, Power Automate and Power BI. 
•    Ability to deliver training to staff of various skill levels.

Desirable:
•    Exposure to Azure cloud platform.
•    Exposure to Microsoft Fabric.
