About the opportunity:
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the quality, compliance, and continuous improvement of ANZCA’s education programs.
As the Education Standards & Policy Officer, you will play a key role in developing, maintaining and monitoring the college’s standards, principles, regulations, curricula, guidelines and handbooks. You will work closely with subject matter experts, support the development and review of educational documentation, and coordinate implementation activities that align our regulations, guidelines and processes.
This role reports to the Head of Education Development & Governance.
About the team:
The Education Development and Governance unit is responsible for the development and management of the education governance framework, evaluation, reporting, data and policy and process for the function. This department provides strategic support to committees, including leading the Committee Service Officer (CSO) Community of Practice, and ensuring educational initiatives align with compliance and quality standards.

Specifically, you will bring:
Essential:
- Extensive experience in policy, standards, compliance or education within the health sector or a regulatory environment.
- Undergraduate qualification in policy, education, health sciences, teaching, psychology or a related field.
- Outstanding written communication skills, including:
- Regulatory writing experience
- Production of professional publications across multiple formats
- Ability to tailor communication to diverse audiences using clear, concise and engaging language
- Highly developed interpersonal and verbal communication skills, with confidence interacting with senior professionals and medical specialists.
- Experience developing content for complex documents and presentations.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent planning and coordination capability, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
- Strong administrative skills in a project‑based environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a flexible, evolving, inter‑professional environment.
- High attention to detail.
- Initiative, self‑motivation and ability to work without close supervision.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (including MS Project) and SurveyMonkey.
- Advanced skills in MS Word and PowerPoint.
- Ability to learn and work with multiple web‑based systems.
Desirable:
- A qualification in education or training such as Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or Diploma in Training and Assessment.
- A qualification in the areas of law or compliance.
