About the opportunity:

We are seeking an Insights Specialist to join our Education, Development and Governance team. In this newly created role, you will play a pivotal part in strengthening ANZCA’s insights capabilities to identify trends, pain points, risks/opportunities, and translate this information into clear actionable recommendations. 

The Insights Specialist reports directly to the Head of Education Development and Governance and liaises closely with staff across Education, FPM and across the broader college to inform educational activities through monitoring, evaluation and insights. 

This role sits within the Development and Governance unit of the Education and Research department, which leads the strategic design and continuous improvement of curricula, assessment frameworks, digital learning, policy and governance systems. 

Keys to your success: 

You are an experienced insights professional with strong analytical capability and a collaborative mindset.  

You will ideally bring: 

Essential  

  • Tertiary qualifications in data science, analytics, education, health, or a related field. 
  • Demonstrated experience in data collection, analysis, and reporting within an education, health, or professional environment. 
  • Experience with member insights and/or journey mapping. 
  • Strong ability to interpret data and deliver actionable insights that support strategic decision‑making. 
  • Proven skill in developing clear, engaging reports, dashboards, and visualisations for varied audiences. 
  • Experience designing, implementing, and evaluating surveys, including applying appropriate statistical methods. 
  • Strong capability in survey design, sampling strategies, and survey tool use. 
  • Familiarity with platforms such as SurveyMonkey or Qualtrics. 
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. 
  • Proven ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders including academics, clinicians, and trainees. 
  • Strong project management skills and experience delivering data‑related initiatives end‑to‑end. 

Desirable 

  • Experience in a membership organisation, education setting, or not‑for‑profit environment. 
  • Experience using BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or advanced Excel. 
  • Understanding of Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) and governance frameworks.
