The Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (ANZCA) incorporating the Faculty of Pain Medicine, is an internationally recognised specialist medical education institution responsible for the training, examinations, specialist qualification, and continuing professional development of all anaesthetists and pain medicine specialists in Australia and New Zealand.  

The college's purpose is to serve our communities by leading high quality patient care in anaesthesia, perioperative and pain medicine, optimizing health and reducing the burden of pain.  

About the opportunity  

Reporting to the Head of Projects, the Delivery Lead is the single point of accountability for delivery across one or more value streams. You will lead Project Managers, partner closely with business and technology leaders, and ensure initiatives are delivered on time, on budget, and aligned to organisational strategy. 

You will apply Agile, Lean, and value stream principles to optimise flow, reduce waste, and continuously uplift delivery maturity across the portfolio. 

Key deliverables 

  • Lead end‑to‑end delivery across initiatives, programs, and value streams  
  • Turn strategy into clear, accountable plans and predictable delivery outcomes  
  • Apply Agile, Lean, and hybrid delivery approaches to optimise flow and value  
  • Own delivery performance across scope, schedule, cost, risk, and dependencies  
  • Act as the senior delivery partner to stakeholders, providing clear, decision‑ready insights  
  • Lead, coach, and uplift Project and Program Managers while driving continuous improvement

Keys to your success   

If you are passionate about Lean delivery, value stream thinking, and helping teams deliver their best work, we would love to hear from you. 

Specifically, you will bring:   

Essential: 

  • Demonstrated experience as a Delivery Lead, Agile Delivery Manager, or similar role 
  • Strong hands-on experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, Lean; SAFe exposure desirable) 
  • Proven delivery using value stream-based approaches, including flow optimisation and waste reduction 
  • Experience managing complex dependencies across multiple teams and vendors 
  • Strong risk, issue, and dependency management capability 
  • Proven ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders 
  • Experience leading and uplifting the capability of Project Managers (or similar roles) 
  • Strong communication skills with a focus on outcomes and value 

Desirable: 

  • Lean or Agile certifications (e.g. Lean Green Belt, SAFe Agilist, Scrum Master, PRINCE2 Agile, PMI‑ACP) 
  • Experience in regulated, large‑scale, or enterprise environments 
  • Exposure to portfolio management or prioritisation frameworks 
  • Experience with delivery tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, Planview, or LeanIX
